Cord Blood…An Answer to the Controversy

When I gave birth to my 2 babies, my ob-gynecologist offered me the opportunity to harvest my kids’ cord blood from their umbilical cord. The harvested cord blood was to be stored abroad because back then, the hospital did not have the facilities for storage. I gave it a thought but eventually trashed the idea simply because it was too costly.

Fast forward to 9 years later, in hindsight, I regret not having stored my kids’ cord blood. After reading various information about the benefits, I really think I should have considered it.
