I’ve never really had a problem in having my kids take their meds. Well, except for that one time when we had to have Gaby take this awful tasting antibiotic that was so bad even I couldn’t take the smell of it. But otherwise, taking meds orally has never been a problem.
Recently, the Hezzies and I had the pleasure of being invited to the launch of the newest (and best tasting) Vitamin C supplement for kids. Pharmaceutical giant, Glaxo-Smith Kline, brought to our shores Scott’s Vitamin C Pastilles which has a strong following in neighboring Southeast Asian countries. This is good news to Mommies, like me, who are always on the lookout for ways to supplement our kid’s nutritional needs.
The launch, which was held at The Fun Ranch, was made to look like a kiddie party complete with games and a mascot. With the Hezzies in tow, even I enjoyed the games. And being a game-addict, we won as well.
When we were made to taste samples of Scott’s Vit. C Pastilles, I was floored. It was goood!!! It came in 2 flavors, Peach and Mixed Berries. I personally preffered Mixed Berries since it had a sour taste. The kids like both. It’s like a gummy bear with a bit of sampalok thrown in. Yummeh!!!
Proof of its yumminess….on the way home, I could hear a bit of barter trading in the backseat of the car. Gaby, who had won an entire bottle of Scott’s Vit. C Pastilles, was trading a few pastilles for some stickers in Adi’s lootbag. Truth be told, between the 2 of them, they consumed an entire foil pack while they were doing their trading. They had consumed their entire week’s dosage of Vit. C in 15 minutes!!
These 2 are certified Scott’s Vit. C Pastilles fans..to say the least. Our stash has gone with us on a trip out of town and has been shared with playmates and cousins. And yes, there is still that occasional “more-than-the-daily-dose” moments that I let slip…only because it tastes really really good!
